Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, reflection, prayer and community. The annual observance of this month is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset and believe that spiritual rewards are doubled when observed during the month of Ramadan. During the month they strive for purity and a heightened awareness of Allah. (Go here to learn more about Ramadan.)

Ramadan 2020 is from April 23rd to May 23rd. Join us this year as we pray over various segments of East Asia’s Muslim society. As they seek for answers to who they are and who Allah is during their normal Ramadan routine, pray that the heightened sense of helplessness due to Covid-19 would have them even more open to hearing from God. Pray their hearts would turn toward the truth of the gospel in Jesus. Pray for Christians and churches in the Muslim communities to take this opportunity to proclaim the gospel even more boldly. Pray for dreams and visions of Jesus among the Muslim communities. Pray for a turning away from their sins and striving toward salvation by their own means, and for a realization of the saving grace of Jesus.
