The majority of Chinese Muslims who live outside of larger urban centers are rural farmers. Hui farmers grow a variety of crops to feed both their family and sell at a local market or cooperative. The Hui ranchers and shepherds will primarily raise sheep, but some will also raise cattle, camels, and other livestock.

Because of the growth of corporate farming and the use of large farm equipment to plant, grow, and harvest crops, there are less and less rural farming jobs for Hui people and many are moving to cities to find other jobs that they know or care little about.

Pray

  • Pray that the Gospel will be proclaimed to rural farmers all across China
  • Pray that those rural farmers who are migrating to Urban areas will encounter Christians who will share the good news of Jesus.
  • Pray that the ranchers and shepherds will meet the Good Shepherd who has provided a way for all their sins to be forgiven.
