In Chapter 4 of Philippians, Paul encourages believers to rejoice in the Lord in every situation, even amid severe persecution. The brothers and sisters in China who have been called to the work of proclaiming the gospel among the Hui, often do so at great risk. Please remember to pray for these faithful workers that they would stand firm in the Lord, being anxious about nothing, with hearts comforted by the God of peace.
A standard greeting exchanged by Hui people is “As-salamu alaikum” which is Arabic for “Peace be upon you.” But over 99.99% of the Hui who commonly use this phrase do not know that true peace with God is granted through fellowship with Jesus, the Messiah. We pray for Hui to receive Christ to the glory of God and rejoice in the Lord for salvation and peace that surpasses all understanding.

Day 24: Family
My dearly loved and longed for brothers and sisters, my joy and crown, in this manner stand firm in the Lord Phil. 4:1 CSB
Lord, we pray for my brothers and sisters who have followed You, breaking with their families’ traditions and culture. Give them the endurance and strength to stand firm in the Lord. We pray for the Hui families and communities where there is only one Christ-follower. Lord, shine Your light through these individuals. May their unshakeable faith be a testimony to everyone around them. Open the eyes of their family members so that they may believe.
Day 25: Rejoice
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Phil. 4:4 CSB
Lord please fill the hearts of Hui believers today with inexpressible joy. Fill their thoughts with the great reasons to rejoice in Your goodness and mercy. Jesus, multiply Your churches among the Hui. We rejoice with the angels when Hui turn to You and trust in You for salvation.
Day 26: Peace
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7 CSB
Father, help the Christian workers living among the Hui to not be anxious about anything. Though they experience opposition from the government and the culture, lead them to prayer and grant them a peace that passes all understanding. Lord, there are so many Hui who are under pressure to succeed, to meet an unreachable standard of good outweighing bad. Open their eyes to Your perfect plan of salvation and give them peace in Christ Jesus.
Day 27: Contentment
…in any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. Phil 4:12-13 CSB
Father, the Hui live in a wide variety of circumstances. Some of them have plenty, others live with much less. Would You please allow them to hear Your gospel? Help them to know that the secret to being content is through abiding with Christ in all things. Help them to surrender and follow You so that they might be saved and strengthened by You.
Day 28: Support
But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied… and my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:18-19 CSB
Lord, empower and equip the Chinese church to reach the Hui. Give them a burden to send missionaries to the Hui and provide the resources to support these missionaries not only through monetary support but also through prayer.
Day 29: Glory
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Phil. 4:20 CSB
Lord, magnify Your glory in the parts of northwest China where the Hui live. May Your glory be proclaimed through the cities, over the grasslands and deserts, into the mountains and throughout every small village. Use Your people, Lord, to proclaim and demonstrate Your glory!
Day 30: Grace
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Phil. 4:23 CSB
Jesus, may Your grace always be with Your people, and send them out to be bold witnesses to the Hui. Lord, grant grace and peace to Hui believers. Teach them to walk with You day by day, in a way that brings You honor.
